Illness Benefits $100 deductible *First time illness coverage amount is per policy term/year.	*First Time Illness Should your pet suffer from an illness which was not diagnosed or treated prior to the coverage/policy effective date.	$ 1,500
Accident Benefits $100 deductible	Foreign Body Ingestion Surgery If your pet ingests a foreign body and needs to have it surgically or endoscopically removed.	$ 2,000
	Motor Vehicle Accident Should your pet be involved in a motor vehicle accident.	$ 2,000
	Poison Ingestion Should your pet ingest a defined poisonous substance and require medical treatment.	$ 2,000
	Bone Fracture Should your pet suffer a Bone fracture which requires medical treatment (not including teeth, or if caused by a motor vehicle accident).	$ 2,000
	Lacerations If your pet requires medical treatment for an accidental laceration such as cut pads or dog/cat bites.	$ 2,000
	Burns Should your pet suffer burns which require medical treatment (not caused by a motor vehicle accident).	$ 2,000
	Allergic Reaction To Insect Bites Should your pet be bitten or stung by an insect and suffer an allergic reaction which requires medical treatment.	$ 2,000
Wellness Plan Up to coverage amount Zero deductible	For annual wellness costs, including: • vaccinations • annual physical exam • spay/neuter • heartworm testing • teeth cleaning (scale and polish)	$150 annual limit

Co-Payment: The Insurer will reimburse ninty (90) percent of each covered claim up to the Insured Limit. The Insured’s share will be ten (10) percent of each covered claim. This is referred to as the co-payment. Once the Insurer’s share, (90%) of each covered claim, has been established the applicable deductible will be applied. The net will be reimbursed to the Insured. Deductible: The Deductible is the stated dollar amount per accident, or Illness Condition for which the Insured is responsible. A one-hundred dollar ($100.00) deductible is applicable per incident for accidents and per condition, per policy term, for illnesses.

Kinlay, our two year old Labradoodle, is usually very spirited. He is a boisterous and high-energy fellow, who needs lots of gentle reminders to refrain from surfing the kitchen countertop and stealing socks! One day, he didn’t seem himself. He was very quiet and wanted to go outside constantly. We could tell that this unusual behavior was a clue that something was wrong. We took Kinlay to our veterinarian and a test confirmed Kinlay had a urinary tract infection. We were given antibiotics and we dropped our claim in the mailbox that afternoon. PetCare returned our claim with a cheque within one week! When I called to thank PetCare the customer service representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in Kinlay’s recovery.
